The performance brings together voices and instruments from different worlds to sing of one. The recital is a blend of folk melodies opening into the long, unhurried breath of Hindustani classical aalaaps. Where original poetry is accompanied with acoustic guitars and bass alongside tabla and bansuri. Each song is an original composition, written and set to explore what unity sounds like when traditions meet rather than compete.

Written and performed in Hindustani, these songs carry a simple hope; that music, like peace, has no single home. When Indian sonics echo in Venice, a city built at the crossroads of trade routes and cultures for centuries, we listen not for translation, but for feeling. The warmth of a folk refrain aims to find, in that shared listening, a world that’s one.
