Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest classical dance forms of India, originating in Tamil Nadu. It combines intricate footwork, expressive gestures, graceful movements, music, and storytelling to convey emotions and narratives.

This performance features Anwesha Das, who is one of the leading practitioners of Bharatanayam of her generation. While staying true to the art form, the performance also mirrors the themes of authenticity, humility, earth‑rootedness, and spiritual proportion following the core essence of the Biennale this year.
