About this event
Time is not counted, it is kept. In this vibrant percussion dialogue, rhythm becomes memory, echo, and motion. Ancient pulses return through the resonant voice of the ghatam and the tabla in conversation with each other in the first section, and the meditative strains of the veena and mridangam in the second, unfolding patterns that have lived across centuries.
Each beat carries the depth of tradition, yet moves with a living, breathing energy, circling, stretching, folding into itself. The music does not rush forward; it lingers, revisits, and transforms, revealing time as something deeply felt rather than measured. Keeping Time is a meeting of India’s past and present where every rhythm is a trace of something enduring, and every silence holds what came before.
