About this event
In the quiet embrace of Venice, where water remembers every passing whisper, a journey begins where time unfolds. Rooted in the evocative music of Rabindranath Tagore, the first section of the performance drifts across moments, intimate, eternal, and alive. Melodies rise like memories and dissolve into silence, carrying echoes of stories that have travelled through generations.
The second section, 'Samay ki Dhaara' (The Flow of Time), unfolds an offering from India, carried across centuries and seas. This ghazal and semi-classical experience traces time not as a straight line, but as a gentle current—folding, circling, returning. Each note lingers like a memory half-recalled, each rhythm echoing something both ancient and immediate. Guided by expressive vocals, the fluid breath of the flute, the depth of the sarod, the gentle resonance of the keyboard, and the rhythmic pulse of the tabla, each piece becomes a passage through time, where past and present meet in quiet harmony. The performance is a whisper of India across time—felt, remembered, and reimagined.
